High Street Flags 2019!

Pride flags

The High Street flags have become somewhat of a tradition with villagers eagerly awaiting what theme is coming next..

 Childrens Christmas drawings

The project, initiated by Paul Flintoft and now supported by Kippax Parish Council is designed to help bring the High Street to life and celebrate different occasions throughout the year.

Remembrance Day flags

Brand new for this year, and following feedback from residents we installed fantastic PRIDE flags alongside Yorkshire Flags for the month of August, D-Day 75th Anniversary Flags and Remembrance Flags and for Christmas, we also had bespoke flags created using the winning designs from the Christmas Card competition - with designs from each of our Primary Schools and Brigshaw High School.

Different country flags

Big thank you Paul Flintoft and Cllr Martin Eyre who coordinate the changing of the flags and Kippax Aerials who we work closely with to ensure they are installed safely. And also a special thank you to Lesley Eyre who's dining room is often the scene of flag change over and rethreading station!

 Flags being created

We have lots of ideas for next year’s flags and there’s lots of occasions to celebrate - if you have any ideas please contact martin.eyre@kippax-pc.gov.uk!
