Meetings, Minutes and Agendas

In addition to Full Council, there are various Committees and Advisory Groups as part of Kippax Parish Council which focus on different tasks and projects and make recommendations at the formal Parish Council meetings. Please click on each group to view details on members, meeting dates and venues, minutes and agendas.

The public and press are invited to all meetings and can speak in the public forum sessions specified on the agendas

Groups & Committees

Full Council

Meetings usually take place on the third Thursday of the month at 7pm. There is a public forum at the meeting and the agenda covers updates from each group and committee, special projects and new items for consideration.

Finance and Corporate Governance Committee

Meetings take place on the Monday of the week prior to the full council meeting. The committee oversees the council budget, funding applications and special projects and makes recommendations to the full council.

Planning Committee

Meetings take place on the first Monday of each month at 7pm. The Planning Committee is responsible for considering planning applications, developments and structural plans in the village.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee was responsible for the Kippax Matters Magazine, Digital Communications (including the website and social media) and other special projects. The committee was dissolved in November 2022 and all its responsibilities have been transferred to full council

Village Services Committee

Meetings take place on the second Monday of each month at 6pm. The Village Services Committee is focused on the maintenance and upkeep of the village and is responsible for the Village Caretaker.

Youth & Leisure Committee

Meetings take place on the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm. The Youth & Leisure Committee is responsible for activities, events and projects in the village including Breeze events, leisure facilities and equipment and other special projects.

Christmas Lights Planning Committee

The Christmas Lights Planning Committee comes together around August time each year to begin planning the village lights switch-on event and other festive activties in the village.

Personnel Committee

Responsible for matters relating to employment for the council. This committee meets at various times during the year as and when required.

Community Pantry Committee

Meetings take place on the first Tuesday of each Month at 6:30pm. The Community Pantry Committee is responsible for making decisions on all activities relating to the community pantry including spending within the allocated funding

Newsletter Committee

The Newsletter Committee was set up in July 2024 and is responsible for creating a new Kippax Newsletter for publication on the KPC website and social media sites and for printing and distributing in the community. Meetings are held as and when required.
